Best Chocolate Bar TEST!

Posted in My Life by todd on the May 7th, 2007

I recently purchased seven different chocolate bars (dark chocolate) in search of the ultimate dark chocolate! I purchased belgian chocolate, german chocolate, columbian chocolate, french chocolate, and chocolate from ecuador.  The percentage of Cocoa ranged from 71% to 99% and all could be easily eaten daily other than the 99% Cocoa chocolate bar.

Taking a Cruise - Some Advice

Posted in My Life by todd on the January 17th, 2007

If you are thinking about taking a cruise to the caribbean or any other place here’s some advice from someone who’s been there.

I’ve been on Princess Cruises once, Royal Caribbean twice and Carnival once.

I would NEVER go on a Carnival Cruise again. Their food was TERRIBLE every night, and service was TERRIBLE. The people who are supposed to help and be nice to you on the boat acted as if they could care less being there. I think most were on their last few weeks and were anxious to get off, however I woul dhave thought this would have create excitement rather than boredom and an “I don’t care attitude”.
Princess #1, next up Royal Caribbean, I wouldn’t hesitate to go on another one from either.

I’ve gotten inside rooms every time. The only time spent in your room is getting dressed, showering or sleeping. Inside rooms are 100% dark so you can sleep great. If you are severely clausterphobic they may not be a good choice. Room posiition on the ship is important too you don’t want to be to far forward or to far back. Engine vibration, more swaying than normal, etc. are things you may notice.

$750 or $800 PP should be obtainable from Royal or Princess for Summer. Early Spring and spring it can be raining and chilly still in the caribbean so can late July / AUgust, etc.

Remember the cruise itself is only part of the cost you have to add another 100-300 per-person to go on the “good” excursions, port charges, room/etc gratuity, DRINKS, and any shopping you might do on shore. Oh, and the flight if you have to fly to port. Don’t go out of Texas it may be a lil cheaper but they cater to the Texans and if you aren’t from there it’s not near as fun.

We pay around $800 for a 7Day Western Carib. but I budget around $2000 or so per-person including flight to cover the above costs.

Jamaica is fun, Dunns River Falls. Cozumel Snorkeling. Swimming with the sting rays in Grand Caymen is fun. Shopping or snorkeling in some other Mexican port, and a day on the beach at som eother island is fun.

If you like outdoor activities and not JUST shopping go on a Western Carib. cruise.

Oh, and the food is free at dinner so I suggest getting one of each plate you are interested in :D

Lobster eating contests, etc, ;)

If you fail…

Posted in My Life by todd on the September 9th, 2006

So while taking a break from the web and reading (yes a real book) Rich Dad Poor Dad I stumbled upon one of my favorite forgotten quotes.

“Failure inspires winners.  And failure defeats losers”

This quote is true on SO many levels! I thought I would share one of my personal examples about myself and a friend.

Most recently I was talking to a friend of mine about his sites and how he was doing, basically catching up.  Well as it turns out he made a couple sites he was expecting to earn some money with and as it turns out is making under $1/day on AdSense.  I told him that sucks and then asked “what other sites are you working on, etc” his answer was that he got kind of frustrated with not making any money from his other sites and “kind-of” gave up on making money online.

This is a classic example of failure conquering his mind.  I don’t think my friend is a loser by any means, he is smart with the technical aspect of websites and other things related to websites he just stumbled on his first couple attempts at making money online.

With that said if you are new to making money online or just new to the web and are trying your hand at blogging… if at first you don’t succeed pick yourself up and try again, and again, and again.  Take from each failure something!  You are not learning how to fail you are learning how to NOT do something.  Try harder and your next website, blog, business or whatever may exceed your wildest dreams!

“The greatest secret of winners is that failure inspires winning; thus they’re not afraid of losing”

IBProfen vs. Tylenol (acetaminophen)

Posted in My Life by todd on the August 28th, 2006

So since Saturday I had been taking Tylenol as told to by my doctor for Strep Throat symptons. (Headache, achey joints, and throat pain.)

Well, last time I got strep. I took IBProfen instead and by the second day I was feeling better, this time 3 days later I barely feel any better. I decided to switch back to IBProfen and do some research on Tylenol online. (NOte: I am on antibiotics too)

What I found is I may be allergic to tylenol… sure strep throat causes a sore throat, and minor swelling of the throat for me (last time), and I had trouble eating last time. But after 12 hours of medication I was able to eat anything and do stuff (slightly weak) Well this time it’s been 3 days and still no relief… and look what I found out about an allergic reation to Tylenol:

· an allergic reaction: (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);

So, I have strep throat and my throat is sensitive now it’s even more swolen and closed up! My tounge has swolen because I can see bite marks and it is RAW on the sides! I have had chest pains and problems breathing which I associated wtih the throat… apparently tylenol made this even worse!

I started taking IBProfen again and it feels better to where I can eat again.

Jeesh!@
