Google Adwords = Page Rank

Posted in My Work by todd on the May 27th, 2006

That’s right folks I said it! Using Google Adwords has yielded my BRAND NEW domain PR.

I registered a NEW (never used) domain to use for one of my adwords campaigns and now a few months later the domain has a PR.

While the PR is only 1 it shows that running an Adwords campaign in fact DOES add PR value.

There are no known backlinks on google and the statistics show visitors are ONLY coming from Google Search and the google network of adsense sites.

You didn’t link any of your sites to it? This was ALL due to advertising?

Yes, this was 100% google adwords.

No other adnetwork, NO external links from my other sites, and NONE on my statistics that were not from random other people linking to me.

Adwords might not be the reason for PR. I created my website in January, just the basic structure. I did not touch it for 2 1/2 months and to my surprise, the PR became 1. During that time the I had 0 backlinks. Now I have around 300 links and the PR is still 1. Go figure!
