Most Proxy top sites are a joke…
There are hundreds of proxy top sites out there and I’ve found the majority of them to be a JOKE.
If you are planning to launch any number of proxy websites I suggest you DO NOT spend time submitting them to top sites unless they provide a valuable link-back to your site. Most proxy sites have little to NO PR, provide a link condom and deliver little to no traffic. The few quality top sites provide a direct link to your site (in a listing format someplace on the site that is not counted as a vote), don’t have a million sites listed so that you’d never be on the front page, don’t have the first 5 listings as ads, and actualy have some PR to pass-down to you through a non-condomized link!
There needs to be some QUALITY proxy directories categorized by server location, proxy software, allowed downloads, etc. I am actually working on a couple proxy directories w/reviews as well as information about each proxy. There is still room for others to make proxy directories and I think this is a great idea!
So to sum it up.
Most proxy topsites = bad.
Proxy directories = needed.
Spending time on proxy topsite = waste

Hello, i strongly disagree with you on this. I own roughly 20 proxys earning a few hundred dollas a day and proxy topsites are the main source of my traffic. I would write more here but i do no believe it’s worth my time explainning ( and you will probly never read this anyways).
Some of your tips like http.conf tricks are good however on this site make’s some intresting reading.
